I took an Occam razor to this full headed argument and severed Samson’s sacred locks
There are certain enigmatic traps in life that simply never seem to sate themselves on the torment of our minds. There are certain questions which like black holes consume all the matter. Call them what you will; mental traps, contemplative consumption, food for thought etc., but for all our efforts they remain unanswerable and unfeeling. I call to the fore the aporia of Evolution.
…Before I begin I must be honest with my reader and ask her forgiveness of my poor wisdom on the matter…
Who knew Darwin to be such a ruthless romantic? His Evolutionary theory was based on the survival of the fittest at the expense of the weak. We all do what is necessary in this world to better our own Evolution, it is selfish, jealous, and contemptuous. I think I’m a Darwinist at heart, but what free and liberal person wouldn’t be? This sort of Evolution adapts to its prey to make deadly and yet aimless hunters.
Charles presents a great point however, despite our position or relative perspective we all seek to bend Evolution to our will. It is all in the hope that we can exercise the same influence on it that it has on us. How hard they scream at the walls, those prisoners of Evolution that try with such audacity to escape it. We are all called to Evolve, we must all give in to the Revolutionary within.
Then the views of the theists, believing that it was divinity and nothing less that brought about the Evolution of man, that an intimate breath of life animated us from clay. That Evolution is given at a price, and feelings that you must repay your maker aspire in you, inspire you. It is the history of a Revolver.
Of all the uncertainties regarding Evolution there is one sliver of truth. We can not live without accepting it as a wholesome part of our lives. Despite the fact that there are many of us who fear Evolution, who want to deny its presence in determining our actions, its power, and its authority over all our logic and reason, we just can’t.
Yet how fast the pendulum flies about and gives no care to man. It leaves us standing amongst the leaves, asking “Where are the snows of yesteryear?” Unfettering the knot, picking the lock, how much of this life is crowded with anticipation? All to know myself and something about Evolution.
All this in account, I must submit to my ignorance in Evolution. The truth is that we have only small truths. If you have failed so far to see the meaning of the words behind the lines between the lines, then I guess I should clarify that I’m not speaking of biological evolution. In fact this isn’t even about evolution at all. Yet for all your misunderstanding regarding this, no it, u love, we are all fools.
